Birdhichand is a journey that started from Johri Bazaar and then moved to the bustling hub of Mirja Ismail Road, where it was continued by the founder’s son, Shri Ghanshyamdas. His legacy is now carried forth by his sons Ramanuj Agarwal, Dr. Nawal Agarwal and Shri Lalit Agarwal. I have always been an admirer of their work, and when the opportunity for a collaboration came to me, I jumped at it. The exquisite pieces called for fine couture to complement the look, and I approached a designer whose clothes are understated, well-crafted and every bit as exquisite as the jewellery – Jayanti Reddy. Produced by my own venture, The Dhoom Dhaam Company, the night ended on a grand note with Sonam Kapoor Ahuja commanding all eyes as the showstopper. Till today, it remains a night that I have always remembered and cherished.
